Lovely and Warm

So the creme fraiche seems to have worked. I came home from work and checked the two jars. They've definitely thickened. The texture is a little strange, but I don't remember exactly what it was like with the cream. So I've put it in the fridge and will see what it's like tomorrow.

I picked up on the gaiter today since I took the metro to client sites today. Made it through quite a few rounds. I think I might be done with the cables or else have just one more round to go. I love the color, a heather green that I think will match Dad's eyes. I also love the feel of the alpaca yarn, very soft.

But not as soft as the yak and silk of my other active project. I picked out a button for the neck warmer yesterday. It's a pretty simple mother of pearl or some other shell, but with black undertones rather than the typical white. So I'm going to finish this one off with the button loop and sewing on the button tonight.
